WaterAid is an international charity whose mission is to overcome poverty by enabling the world's poorest people to access safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.  WaterAid works through local partners in 17 countries using low cost sustainable technology. Community participation is key to every WaterAid project.
There are still 1.1 billion people living without safe water and 2.6 billion people who lack adequate sanitation in the world.  WaterAid’s vision is of a world where everybody had access to these most basic of life’s necessities.
